An Oconomowoc Lake home once owned by a member of the Pabst brewing family has sold for more than $4 million.
Built in the 1960s, the Georgian Colonial home was originally owned by Elsa Pabst Byrnes, the great-granddaughter of brewer Frederick Pabst, a previous listing by Pat Bolger Realty noted. Located at 4654 Lake Club Circle, the home has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and eight garage spaces.
The four-story home encompasses more than 14,000 square feet and includes an elevator, 11 fireplaces, ice cream parlor, three kitchens, drawing room and library. The property also has 200 feet of lake frontage, a guest house and boat house.
While the transaction was a private sale, real estate agent Pat Bolger has sold the home in the past. Bolger said one of the previous owners would hold “huge parties” at the residence. At one party, Bolger said the actor Johnny Depp attended when he was in Wisconsin shooting the 2009 film “Public Enemies.”
According to real estate records, the seller was listed as Kathleen L. McGarry, as trustee of the Agatha T. Ulrich Marital Trust. The buyers are Gregory and Jannelle Peterson.
The sale was recorded Sept. 17, online records show.
Taxes on the home in 2020 total $33,429.37, according to Waukesha County tax records.
Earlier in the year, another home on Oconomowoc Lake sold for $7.799 million. That sale price is likely the highest ever in Waukesha County for a private home.
