A new-to-market restaurant has signed a lease for the former HopCat building in the Highlands, Louisville Business First reports.Bakersfield, based in Cincinnati, has plans to open a restaurant at 1066 Bardstown Road in the building that was formerly home to HopCat. Joe Lanni, co-founder of Thunderdome Restaurant Group, which owns Bakersfield, said the restaurant will be taking up the majority of the first floor. The second floor will not be part of the restaurant, and is separately leased.Bakersfield serves Mexican street food and a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys, its website says.
